ADA EAST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY PARTICIPATES IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEADERSHIP COURSE
The Ada East District Assembly has participated in a two-day Certificate Course on Next Generation Local Government Leadership held from 16th to 17th July 2026 at the Assembly’s Conference Hall.
The training focused on strengthening the leadership capacity of Assembly Members and improving their understanding of their roles within Ghana’s local governance system.
Participants were taken through key areas including strategic leadership, ethical conduct, accountability, citizen-centred governance, effective communication, teamwork, innovation, change management and the use of digital tools in local government administration.
The course also highlighted the need for local government leaders to respond effectively to changing public expectations, emerging development challenges and the increasing demand for transparency and improved service delivery.
Participants were encouraged to apply the knowledge gained to strengthen collaboration, improve communication, promote citizen participation and support effective development planning within the district.
The training is expected to contribute to improved leadership, accountability, institutional performance and service delivery at the Ada East District Assembly.
